11th Annual American DoorSlammer Nationals
Started 11 years ago, the American DoorSlammer Nationals has become one of the must attend fall events in the big dollar bracket world.
This years event has been restructured to 2 days because of weather from tropical storm Nicole. Attendees will race for a daily $20K winners purse on Saturday and Sunday.
The Madness at the Mile
Big money bottom bulb racing continues to grow across the bracket world with this weeks focus on the newest event on the schedule, Madness at the Mile at Motor Mile Dragway! This events offers 3 days of great purses starting with a $3,000 to win gamblers race on Friday night followed by $10K to win on Saturday and Sunday.
Big Daddy Ben’s Halloween Spooktacular
With Capital City Motorsports Park rapidly becoming known for their big dollar bracket events, it only seems fitting for them to start hosting an event for the up and coming stars of the fast paced sport of drag racing. Enter Big Daddy Ben’s Halloween Spooktacular and an opportunity for Jr Dragster drivers of all ages to win big money and some exceptional prizes.

Where do all the motorcycle grudge racers go to figure out who’s the baddest rider on the planet, HorsePower Hustle that’s where. Created to bring organization and prestige to this style of racing, Horsepower Hustle is the place to go to get it all figured out! Next event is at Virginia Motorsports Park. It’s going to be off the chain!
The 27th Annual Million Dollar Race
It’s being called the ‘OG” Million by the racers and sponsors because it is the granddaddy of all big dollar bracket races. This is the one that started it all so many years ago.
It starts on Tuesday with a ‘Race to the Million’ $20K race. Then on Wednesday is the first of three $50K to win races add round prizes, fuel money drawing, a steak racers appreciation dinner, The Million Dollar Race on Friday and then top it all off with the winner of the VIP Club drawing getting a brand new 2022 GMC Sierra truck, you realize there is no match to what Folk Promotions brings to the table for it’s racers and fans! It simply spectacular.
2nd Annual Mike Smith Memorial Race
Mike Smith was a fierce competitor for well over four decades all over the South and in big money bracket racing. Mike was known for his shirtless appearance and always had a cigar in hand. He was one of those old school racers, in that he would bend over backwards to help you get to the starting line just to put you on the trailer. This race is dedicated to him and all he stood for in our community.
The 2022 IHRA World Finals
Every year IHRA sportsman racers, from across North America, work to earn the opportunity to attend the IHRA World Finals. 2022 is no different with racers in Canada and the US working on their cars and programs, going rounds and winning races so they can have the opportunity to compete for a world championship. With the opportunity to win a championship in Jr Dragster, Sportsman, Mod and Top, the competition will be intense!
The 2nd Annual Triple Threat Bracket Series
Next up on the racing schedule at Virginia Motorsports Park is the final installment of this years Triple Threat Bracket Series. Over the first 2 events, racers have accumulated points to be the first Triple Threat Bracket Series champion.
